5 GREAT RESTAURANTS IN KILLARNEY
Killarney is full of top notch restaurants so it is so difficult to choose which ones to eat in. Hopefully this list will help you to decide where to visit. If you are visiting in the busy season you might have to book your table but of course you could just take your chances as you stroll around the town.
1. CRONIN’S RESTAURANT, COLLEGE STREET, KILLARNEY

I have to put this restaurant at the top of the list as the food is delicious. It is a long running family restaurant with great wholesome food. I had the Bacon & Cabbage when I visited as that is the traditional Irish fare and it was mouth-watering. Friendly staff and reasonable prices.
2. BRICÍN RESTAURANT, HIGH STREET, KILLARNEY

Another great restaurant with great food……more of a cosy romantic setting. There is a shop on the ground floor selling various Irish goods so a great place to pass the time before going up for your meal. I would recommend booking this restaurant though as the tables here fill fast.
3. GABY’S RESTAURANT, 27 HIGH STREET, KILLARNEY

If you love seafood you’ll love Gaby’s. They serve the freshest of seafood and have a great range to choose from. It’s a bit of a high class restaurant but I thought it was worth every penny.
Ok, my next two recommendations are going to be a bit lower in price but still great food.
4. ROBERTINO’S RESTAURANT, HIGH STREET, KILLARNEY

Very authentic Italian restaurant. I loved the decor here……you may very well be in Italy. They have murals on the wall, a great wine list and a bar where you can enjoy a drink whilst waiting for your table. It is reasonably priced and well worth a visit.
5. KATE KEARNEY’S COTTAGE, GAP OF DUNLOE, BEAUFORT

Ok, so my last recommendation is slightly outside of Killarney, it may cost you around €25.00 return in a taxi but again it’s worth the trip. The food there is excellent and the atmosphere is even better. I was here a couple of times and there was live music each time. The locals are friendly and the location is great as it is based just at the entrance to the Gap of Dunloe so if you went there early you could take a walk through the Gap or take a horse and trap trip before you eat or just have a few drinks in the bar……….I would highly recommend the Irish Coffee there!
